The Foundation

From social promotion to Foundation: continuity, stability, vision

La Crisalide in Rete Foundation, established in 2026 from the experience of the social promotion association of the same name founded in 2019, works mainly to combat male violence against women and to protect children who are victims of witnessed violence.

Every woman and every child has the right to live free from violence, fear and all forms of discrimination. This conviction is the source of our commitment: to promote cultural and social change that places human dignity, the protection of rights and collective responsibility at its heart.

Our Foundation works to prevent and combat violence against women and children through awareness-raising, training, research and the development of collaborative networks, helping to build more aware, inclusive and safer communities.

Our story

Our story began in 2019 with the founding of a Social Promotion Association, created by professionals, workers and citizens determined to respond concretely to one of the most serious social emergencies of our time: violence against women and children.

From the outset we chose to tackle this issue with an integrated approach, founded on prevention, the protection of rights, support for victims and the promotion of a culture of respect, equality and social responsibility.

The experience gained over the years, the growth of our activities, the strengthening of institutional partnerships and the rising number of requests for help made clear the need to give our project a structure capable of ensuring greater continuity, stability and capacity for growth.

This awareness led to our decision to become a Foundation. It is not a change of identity, but the natural development of a journey built with commitment, expertise and vision.

Where we work

The Foundation works throughout Italy, with a particularly strong presence in Southern Italy and in outlying and inland areas, where access to protection and support services is often more difficult.

Through a widespread network of Anti-Violence Centres, Safe Houses, shelters and local services, we provide support, protection and accompaniment to women victims of violence, to children and to people in particularly vulnerable situations.

Our services

All the Foundation’s services are provided free of charge, with full respect for each person’s confidentiality, anonymity and self-determination.

The Foundation relies on a multidisciplinary team of professionals with specific expertise: psychologists and psychotherapists, social workers, professional educators, sociologists, specialist lawyers, security staff and experts in social and employment inclusion.

Support pathways include listening and welcome, psychological support, legal advice and representation, accommodation in protected facilities and support in emergency situations, through to social and employment inclusion and independence in housing and finances.

Our principles

Person-centred approach · Protection of human dignity · Professional expertise · Transparency · Institutional collaboration · Social responsibility
