Protection, confidentiality, a new beginning
Shelter Homes for Abused Women are specialist residential facilities at secret addresses, dedicated to welcoming and protecting women victims of violence, alone or with underage children, who are in serious danger and need to be removed immediately from the violent situation.
Provided for under national legislation and the Campania Region’s regional catalogue of services, Safe Houses offer free accommodation, protection and support in a safe, confidential and protected environment.
The address of the facility is strictly secret and must not be disclosed. Confidentiality is one of the main tools for protecting the safety of women and their children.
The homes run by La Crisalide in Rete Foundation offer much more than residential accommodation: they are places of rebirth, where every woman can rediscover peace of mind, dignity and confidence in her own abilities.
The work is carried out by a multidisciplinary team specialising in combating gender-based violence.
To guarantee immediate protection for women victims of violence and their children, offering a safe place in which to break the cycle of violence and begin a journey of rebuilding.
Being welcomed is the start of an empowerment plan founded on regaining personal autonomy, economic independence, social inclusion and the full exercise of one’s rights.
